Otitis, diseases of special anatomical areas and dermatology of small mammals
Otology, video-otoscopy, diseases of special areas and dermatology of small mammals.
- Otology
- Special areas
- Exotic animals
This course consists of three distinct teaching blocks. The first block is devoted to otitis externa and otitis media/interna. Pathophysiology, clinical signs, subtypes, diagnosis and management of otitis will be examined in detail.
The second block is devoted to diseases affecting special anatomical areas such as the claws, anal sacs, paw pads and eyelid skin. These anatomical areas differ in structure and function from the rest of the skin and present specific problems.
The third block is devoted to common dermatological diseases of small exotic mammals (ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats).
